Art Director and Permanent Conductor

  • Park graduated from Kyungpook National University’s Department of Music and served as orchestra conductor and composer and choral conductor at the Conservatorio di Musica in Frosinone. He was the first Korean to earn diplomas in three majors (orchestra conducting, composition, choir conducting) in Europe.
  • He served as professor at ARAM International Music Academy and ‘A.I.ART’ International Music Academy in Rome.
  • Park has conducted 20 operas and staged hundreds of performances in orchestras and choirs at theaters in Italy, Russia, Czech Republic, Romania, Serbia, and China, as well as Seoul Arts Center, Sejong Center, Lotte Concert Hall, Daegu Opera House, Incheon Cultural Center, Busan Cultural Center, and Gwangju Culture & Art Center in Korea.
  • Park was also a guest conductor for Daegu Symphony Orchestra, Busan Philharmonic Orchestra, Gwangju Symphony Orchestra, Jinju Symphony Orchestra, Busan Metropolitan Chorus, Gwangju City Choir, and Bucheon Civic Chorale.
  • He was awarded for scripts and composition for an opera entitled, “A Lucky Day” in multiple competitions hosted by Korean National Opera, Daegu Opera House, and Busan Opera Week.
  • Park was invited to the 63rd Puccini Festival with the music he composed for “Queen Seondeok” (an opera) and received an award in the Creative Composer category during the 2017 Korea Music Awards.
  • He was presented a Grand Prize in Creative Work during the 10th Korea Opera Awards in 2017 with his composition in the opera, “Jeongmongju.”
  • Currently, he is art director and permanent conductor with the Daegu City Choir.
  • Senior guest conductor for an orchestra at Teatro Goldoni in Livorno, Italy (2021-2023)
